The primary objective of this document is to ensure that the processing of personal data by Local Self-Government Bodies (LSGBs) complies with national and international standards.
The guideline outlines the scope of authority of LSGB employees concerning the protection of personal data, specifically about the processing of personal data of both LSGB staff and citizens.
Local self-government bodies process two main categories of personal data:
- Personal data of municipal employees, within the scope of employment relations, and
- Personal data of citizens, for the purpose of providing public services
This guideline is of advisory nature for local self-government bodies of the Republic of Armenia.
