The Project aims to enhance the strategic engagement between the local private sector, independent media, public sector, and other stakeholders in efforts that support healthy information spaces. The Project started in December 2024 and will end in July 2025.
SCSA  supports the Government of Armenia in building effective streamlined, data-driven, and citizen-centered strategic communications systems, capacity, and practices.
The FOICA is responsible for the communication components of the JSS Project. The Project started in October 2022 and will end in September 2027.

69. Advanced Access to Information and Beneficial Ownership Transparency in Armenia

The Project is supported by the Eastern Partnership: Open Door Grants, Sub-grants provided under the EU for Integrity Programme. The Project started in June 2023 and will end in November 2023.

The core objectives of the project are:

  • to contribute to the implementation of the 5th NAP commitment to introduce the ATI self-assessment system in the central government bodies,
  • to strengthen the capacities and improve the knowledge of ATI officers;
  • to promote the use of BO data,
  • to increase public awareness of BO and ATI as the central tenets of the OGP.

 

The Project activities were:

  • To develop a toolkit for government officials/ATI officers on how to apply the selfassessment methodology in practice;
  • To organize two workshops on how to apply ATI self-assessment methodology;
  • To develop a toolkit on monitoring BO, which will enable journalists, civic monitoring groups, and researchers to identify beneficial owners and monitor the activities of the companies behind them;
  • To organize a two-day training session to build the capacity of CSO and Media representatives using and analyzing BO data.
  • To produce 5 animation videos on ATI and  10 infographics on BO.
