The Project was supported by International Media Support (IMS). The Project duration: 5 months. The Project started on 26 November 2020 and ended on 30 April 2021. The International Media Support (IMS) funded the travel, visa and accommodation costs of the reporters, as well as organization of the action.
Media Mentorship In Armenia
For this purpose, it is planned to involve 5 major and outstanding media outlets of EU countries and UK to send their dedicated representatives experienced in war and crisis reporting to Armenia in order to work in collaboration with the local reporters for professional coverage of the postwar crisis, human stories of the war and implementation of the truce document.
Conflict Reporting and Safety of Journalists
By the action it is proposed to organize 3 online workshop courses for journalists’ students of Yerevan State University and 1 online workshop for practicing journalists of various media outlets (in total, 4 sessions).
The topics of the workshop sessions will be:
– Personal and cyber security of journalists in conflict reporting;
– Practicalities in conflict reporting and professional ethics;
– Personal data protection of the civilians, victims and POWs in conflict reporting.
