On June 18, 2009, during Council of Europe justice ministers’ meeting in Norway, member-states signed the Convention on Access to Official Documents, which consequently entered into effect. 12 countries-participants of the meeting signed the Convention, including Georgia.
The Republic of Armenia has not signed the document yet, because the RA Minister of Justice was not present at the meeting. However, the document is open for signature and, as we were told at the RA Ministry of Justice, the possibility of Armenia signing the Convention on Access to Official Documents is not ruled out.
