SCSA  supports the Government of Armenia in building effective streamlined, data-driven, and citizen-centered strategic communications systems, capacity, and practices.
The FOICA is responsible for the communication components of the JSS Project. The Project started in October 2022 and will end in September 2027.
The project aims to strengthen the capacities and skill sets of media professionals in Armenia on FOI, PDP, and beneficial ownership transparency reforms to investigate and report on matters of public interest.

40. Multi-Faceted Anti-Corruption Promotion

The project is implemented by “Armenian Young Lawyers Association” (AYLA) NGO with its partner Freedom of Information Center of Armenia (FOICA) NGO.

The project was supported by European Union. Project duration was 36 months (January 2014 – December 2016).

The project main goal is to improve the ability of CSOs and media organisations engaged in anti-corruption issues, combine their efforts and together solve anti-corruption issues. A detailed description of the activities to be carried out under each of the project’s three components is set out below:

  1. Build the capacity of CSOs to engage in monitoring and watchdog activities.
  2. Increase the effectiveness of CSO monitoring of the anti-corruption reforms set out in the government’s five-year programme and the 2012-2016 justice sector reforms strategy. Creation of a CSO anti-corruption coalition, and monitoring of the anti-corruption reforms set out in the government’s five-year programme and the legal aspects of the 2012-2016 justice sector reforms strategy.
  3. Strengthen anti-corruption institutional mechanisms through developing a sustainable dialogue between CSOs and the Government to establish a single, independent anti-corruption agency with the participations of CSOs, and to implement Article 20 of the United Nations Convention Against Corruption on illicit enrichment.
