The Project aims to enhance the strategic engagement between the local private sector, independent media, public sector, and other stakeholders in efforts that support healthy information spaces. The Project started in December 2024 and will end in July 2025.

SCSA supports the Government of Armenia in building effective streamlined, data-driven, and citizen-centered strategic communications systems, capacity, and practices.

The FOICA is responsible for the communication components of the JSS Project. The Project started in October 2022 and will end in September 2027.

72. The National Strategy to Combat Disinformation in Armenia

The Project started in March 2023 and ended in June 2024.

Project Objectives:

To enhance the strategic engagement of local private sector stakeholders in efforts that combat disinformation.
To facilitate cross-regional learning and thought leadership on the private sector’s role in combatting disinformation.

Project Activities:

Develop an Action Plan to accompany the National Strategy to Combat Disinformation.
Media literacy workshops for private sector representatives.
Research to identify the major disinformation narratives and actors.
Propose recommendations for how the public and private sectors can work together to minimize its spread and impact.
