Name of the sub-grant project: ‘’Visualization as a means of public awareness’’
Brief Description:

With the project ‘’Visualization as a means of public awareness’’ we plan to form a team of journalists, researchers, analysts in Goris Press Club, to provide them with capabilities that will be applicable for the researches, reports, projects results implemented by their organizations, as well as to present the current problems in a clear and visible form. During the project the participants will develop their skills based on the best local and international examples. They will get acquainted with simple but effective reports and with large but accessible infographics. This will also serve as basis to present their own data in a more literate form.

Actions in Brief:

To reach the objective it is planned to organize a three-day training of the modern digital technologies. The training participants will implement practical tasks, to deepen the acquired skills. This will be communicated with trainers through skype communication.
The acquired skills will be used to prepare infographics, interactive maps, materials made with other online materials.
In case of performing good job with data, we expect a radical change toward the Press Club. Such activity will also create an interest to involve new members and new specialists.
The Press Club will support to ensure the publicity of the activities carried out by local self-governance bodies of Goris, Tegh, Tatev towns. The acquired skill – the digital tools, will be used in the development of information about procurements, competitions, lands alienation, auctions, implemented by local self-governance bodies. These will be presented through visualization, interactive mapping, timing and infographics.
Thanks to the increased visibility of the restarted www.gorispressclub web site, the activities carried out by GPC in the digital century can be more competitive when applying to grant programs.
